it has been almost a year we have all been living in a new - hopefully, transitory - reality, when it is the pandemic that predominantly sets the directions and manners of our existence in almost every single sphere: social, business, private. Uncertainty, restrictions, warrants, bans, changes - it is a challenging time for all of us.

Throughout the lockdown, offices became deserted almost overnight. And even though the home office or hybrid work models prove to hold good on the operational level, there is definitely far from enough freedom of direct meetings (which rings true for me personally, too). The freedom, which to a great extent, defined also our ‘Torus-like’ social and organizational culture, the freedom that cannot be replaced by ZOOM or MS Teams. The health of the employees remains today a non-negotiable priority, though, I hope we will return to our ‘old habits’ soon.

In order to provide safety and accessibility of our buildings, we were quick to introduce a wide range of procedures and changes in their functions. For many months, a team of our most renowned specialists have been working tirelessly to make it happen. We are supported by technology: touchless devices or scanners that detect people with increased body temperature. However, it is the responsibility that plays the most important role - both within teams, and individually alike.

We are aware that the return to the offices will take time, will require work from all respective parties, and will bring along new solutions within work organization, space arrangements, and technology. Despite the circumstances, in order to be able to continuously deliver a modern, safe, and attractive space adjusted to the needs of the tenants - WE ARE TAKING ACTION!

The new reality calls for a new outlook on the workspace.

Over the last months we have been monitoring behaviours of office workers, engaging in conversations as to learn their feelings, concerns, and needs related to the return to their companies. The knowledge we have collected in the process helped us to find and implement the solutions which ensure comfort, minimize risk, and increase safety of those using our spaces.

DISINFECTION
– REGULAR AND PRECISE

Feel safe. The service staff and personnel that cares for the maintenance of cleanliness of our buildings have been trained by experts professionally tasked with disinfection of hospitals. Common areas are disinfected every 2 hours. Sanitation covers all elements exposed to the touch - door handles, restrooms in lift lobbies, buttons, counter tops, grips, or rest areas.

Lift buttons are secured by a foil which is regularly replaced.

At reception desks one can find personal protection equipment - disposable masks and gloves, and also thermometers (we recommend voluntary temperature measurements). We have set up hand sanitizer dispensers at designated spots. We have also enhanced the safety protocol for deliverers and couriers who have their body temperature measured.

Dishwashers fitted in the kitchens of our tenants are equipped with the washing mode of high temperatures (minimum 60 degrees) which is recommended by experts.

TOUCH

DISTANCE
– HEALTHY AND SIMPLE

Keeping safe distance does not have to be difficult. We have fitted the reception desks with protective partitions, while the rest zones have been rearranged in a manner that provides everybody with enough space.

Depending on the person load capacity of the lift, we have set permissible limits. Thanks to the easily-accessible and well-marked staircases, it is simple to choose from various ways of moving around the building. Get into the elevator if you want to move to the higher storeys. Take the stairs going down.

Stay healthy and keep fit by giving up on public transport, and get to work by bike. There are various solutions available in our buildings, which will make it both safe and convenient - changing rooms, shower facilities, and elevators for bikers.
